The Thought Box @ The Night Market

There are so many controversial topics we want to get started on but dont feel that we had enough input from you guys at the last market so...
its a Thought Box Repeat!

Here's the blurb from last time with some emphasis on the need for YOUR INPUT so we can write a blog post together, including lots of different opinions and voices in a purely discussional and only slightly biased round-up.

"In the middle of a bustling urban market, stands a box. An open box, surrounded by small pieces of brightly coloured paper. The box is full of scribbled notes, quotes, thoughts and sketches. Some lay piled on top of each other, some folded and standing to create emphasis. Other pieces lay around the box, blank, vacant and waiting for their message. Or atleast they will be tonight.... when the Thought Box appears at the Night Market to collect your voices."

If you'd like to be involved but cant make it on the day, email me at themollyqueen@googlemail.com with 'Thoughts' in the title and we'll make sure its included.

This month's topic:

"The World Vs Wall Street"

What are your thoughts? Please take a minute to make a note of your opinions and ideas, suggestions or quotes and enter them into the 'Thought Box' at the Marvellous Market on sunday. Look out for the featured blog post written by you next week!

-Occupy Wall Street? Why not occupy a Job?-

-You know thngs are messed up when librarians start marching-

-Wall street and corporations have corrupted the political process-

-Eer, Excuse me, this cubicle is occupied-

-Occupy Mordor (middle Earth) because one ring should not be allowed to rule them all-

-We stand with you in this struggle for real democracy. Together we can end the capture and corruption of our governments by corporate and wealthy elites, and hold our politicians accountable to serve the public interest. We are united, the time for change has come!-

-Occupy a venue, go to a gig and support local music

Coming soon.... Political Correctness, Feminism and a bit of a 'free for all'.

The Sherwood Contemporary Craft Fair - A fabulous day!

What a fabulous day, So many talented crafters, makers and yummy spiced apple juice sellers. MollyQueen were in the same spot as last year, in the courtyard and were overwhelmed by the lovely warm reception from the lovely dwellers of sherwood. Well done to Rachel and Sophie for organising such a fabulous event, the one thing everyone kept asking was.... "when's the next one?" How about it guys?

We launched our new matchbox greeting cards yesterday, little personalised matchboxes with themed text for special occasions, including "Strictly Confidential, to be opened personally" and "My proposition is of the utmost importance.", Each matchbox comes with a miniature scroll so you can write your own personal message.

Photo's coming soon!

"In the Box"

In celebration of these little boxes of greetings, I've decided to start a new Community Art Project called 'In the box'. The idea is very simple really.... and quite a challenge. It involves finding 100 different items and fitting them into a standard sized match box. I have all ready started with mine! I'll be listing my items and posting photo's soon!

This is an example I found online...
I particularly like the addition of the dead wasp....

Here's a few items all ready rattling around in mine:

1) A Jeera seed.
2) A Rosemary Leaf.
3) A Safety Pin.
4) The head of a toy farmer.
5) A Golden, foil love heart.
6) A Clove.
7) A Bay Leaf.
8) A Hair Pin.
9) A Filter Tip.

Get started on your own and email us your contents and we'll post them on here. Community art doesn't work without input from the community! ;)

If anyone manages to complete before The Night Market on Tuesday, they can have a matchbox greeting card of their choice for frreeeee!

Tell the world to wait a while and embark on a blissful journey of relaxation and rejuvenation.

Treatments: All Treatments will be £7.00 at events....

Mini Manicure
Our hands are constantly exposed to damaging elements, particularly during winter months and in turn can show your age as they lose elasticity if you do not moisturise them regularly. Why not try a rejeuvenating Mini Manicure with Power Berry oils to treat the nails and cuticles and a luxury Frankincense, Geranium & Jasmine hand cream to treat the skin. This treatment is finished with a nail paint in the colour of your choice or the nails can be buffed to a natural shine finish.

Express Aromatic Facial

Treat yourself to a wonderfully relaxing aromatic facial treatment usingEllapure 100% organic skincare products which are suitable for even the most sensitive and unhappy skins.

Our facial begins by cleansing the skin, removing surface debris, dead skin cells, grease and make up. Our facial scrub further helps to remove the surface layer of dead cells which can dull the complexion and block pores preventing skin from breathing.

Following an aromatic facial massage using a blend of essential oils, we continue the treatment by moisturising your skin using our
fabulous carrot moisturiser - the most important part of any skincare routine, preventing premature aging of the skin and protecting the skin from absorbing dirt, grime and fumes from the atmosphere.

Finally our Aloe Vera gel is applied to the eye area which works on contact to restore elasticity and diminishes the appearance of fine lines and puffiness. The antioxidant properties of Aloe Vera helps to minimize the look of dark circles and “bags” resulting in a bright and uplifted appearance.

Aromatic Acupressure Face and Scalp Massage - For those of you who do not wish to remove your make-up!

You can still experience the relaxing benefits of our express facial with anAromatic, Acupressure Face and Scalp Massage without having to remove your make up. This treatment involves fingertip pressure to all areas of the face, encouraging an increase in circulation, elimination of toxins and will help to relieve congestion to nasal and sinus passages. A small amount of our powerful essential oils will further aid relaxation.
